C-Job Naval Architects heeft het concept ontwerp van een serie van vijf duurzame auto- en passagiersveren voor gemeente Amsterdam ontworpen. De schepen zullen 100% op elektriciteit varen en zo een emissievrije oplossing voor stedelijk vervoer bieden.

Earlier this year, Neptune Marine delivered a 200m3 Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger. C-Job contributed to the project, called the EuroHopper 200, with the fast completion of an engineering package and production drawings. The productive cooperation between the two companies meant that Neptune could complete the entire project within a nine month timescale.

Accelerated Concept Design

With its research into Accelerated Concept Design, C-Job Naval Architects wants to increase optimisation and automation in the ship design process. The end result will be ships that better meet their design requirements. “It is more than that though,” adds C-Job Naval Architect Thijs Muller. “Accelerated concept design is also about removing uncertainty. About giving ship-owners confidence and reducing their Total Cost of Ownership.” With initial studies complete, the research has so far produced some promising results.
